Alternative Health Insurance Services is an independent health insurance brokerage company established in 1985 by Steve Gorman.
After
spending many years in the natural foods industry, Mr. Gorman
recognized the value of alternative medicine and natural therapies. He
established Alternative Health Insurance Services with the goal of making these benefits available to more people.
Mr.
Gorman has developed health plans for individuals, businesses,
associations, and labor unions, and has been featured in numerous
publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times,
Congressional Quarterly Researcher, Kiplinger's Personal Finance
Magazine, and many others.
More recently, state and federal
mandates have resulted in many insurance carriers exiting the health
insurance market, and we have developed innovative ways to provide
complementary and alternative medicine benefits to clients.
